Verse of the day: Ephesians 4:32

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Ephesians 4:32

Reflection

The measure for our forgiveness is not how sorry the other person is, but how much we have been forgiven. Kindness starts small: a tender word, a softened heart.

Prayer

Father, you have forgiven me so much. Help me be kind and forgiving to someone who needs it today. Amen.

In context · Ephesians 4:30–32

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
