Verse of the day: Galatians 6:9

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Galatians 6:9

Reflection

Doing good gets tiring when the results are slow. Paul reminds us that a harvest has a season, and the ones who reap are the ones who didn't quit before it came.

Prayer

Lord, when doing right feels pointless, remind me the harvest is coming. Help me not give up. Amen.

In context · Galatians 6:7–11

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
