Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
What does Mark 16:15 mean?
Near the end of Mark's Gospel, the risen Jesus appears to the eleven as they eat and rebukes their unbelief (verse 14). Then he gives them a worldwide commission: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Verse 16 adds the two ways people respond, believing and not believing, and what follows from each.
How can I apply Mark 16:15 today?
The disciples were sent out right after being corrected for unbelief, so you don't need to be perfect to share good news. Going into “all the world” starts with the people near you. Pray for one person by name this week, and look for a natural chance to tell them what Jesus has done for you.
In context · Mark 16:13–17
And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
