Verse of the day: Psalm 23:1

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Psalm 23:1

Reflection

David, once a shepherd himself, pictures God as the one who leads, feeds and protects. Whatever this month holds, you are not an unwatched sheep; the one caring for you knows what you need.

Prayer

Lord, be my shepherd this month. Lead me, provide for me, and quiet my worry about what I lack. Amen.

In context · Psalm 23:1–3

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
