Verse of the day: Lamentations 3:22–23

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22–23

Reflection

Yesterday's mistakes do not use up today's mercy. Each morning starts with a fresh supply.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for mercy that is new this morning. Help me offer the same to others. Amen.

In context · Lamentations 3:20–25

My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
